To all my blogging buddies that I have enjoyed sharing stories, recipes, comments and life's adventures with, I regretfully need to let you know this is my last post. One of the reasons is that I have started back to work and allthough, I would love to come home and blog with you all every afternoon, I know that my family needs my full undivided attention. Another reason, I feel the need to pull away from blogging is my Dad and Mom are both very sick and my Mom especially needs my attention.
Allthough it has been a short time in the blogging community for me, I have met some really nice friends and enjoyed reading your blogs daily for two months and commenting on them.
I hope that I have helped to touch your lives in some way, whether serious or funny and that I have most of all shared how God loves you and that his mercies are new every morning.
I wanted to leave a little salute to some of you who have inspired me to be a better person
1. Fuschia at Living in the Land of Pink - Thanks for teaching me about being a proper 'Tea' person and for inspiring me with your words of wisdom. You Rock!!! and God has big things in store for you and your family.

12. Sue at The Cotton Patch - Thanks for always taking me back in time and remembering that where we came from was good and has made us who we are today. Also, thanks for all your crafty ideas.
13. The Roost - Thanks for sharing those beautiful 'Grammy' moments with me. Keep loving that baby
As I close this blogging experience, I would like to leave you all with one bible prayer:
"For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray that in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way; bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God. being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light." Colossians 1 9-12
And my last blog pondering of the day is:
Will there be blogging buddies in heaven? I sure hope so and I hope I get to meet all of you there !!!
There is no better place to lull the day away, then to spend time with an old friend sitting on the front porch enjoying memories, thoughts and ponderings. I pray that as you peek through my Picket Fence that you will be blessed and may you always find peace from God. This blog is dedicated to my Children and Grandchildren, I pray that the memories and the ponderings I post here will inspire and encourage you and even make you laugh a little.

Dreaming about Nights In Rodanthe

I just got through reading Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks and I just couldn't put the book down. Seriously, I think it only took me 3 days to read it and last night no one inside the 'Picket Fence' could get my attention. I was reading the last couple of chapters with tears running down my face. I cannot wait to see the movie, but then I have been told the movie is nothing like the book. For now I am still living in the land of Rodanthe, North Carolina. Without giving the book away, I can still imagine myself at a quaint Bed and Breakfast Inn with a strong, muscular, intelligent, gray-haired man like Paul (or is that Richard Gere or is that my hubby)? Just kidding for all of you who dare not dream or fantasize. Entertainment Weekly states the book is about a woman who is in her prime (ME) l0l , and a man(Paul, Richard or Hubby) who reawakens her(ME)....passion burns and hearts break. Yes, this is a story of my life, only the quaint Bed and Breakfast Inn is here at the Picket Fence and the passion that burns is usually heartburn (l0l) and the heart break only comes along when the cable goes out on the TV. So now you can understand why I am still dreaming about Rodanthe, North Carolina but actually in reality living in Florida.

THE LAUNDRY IS STILL WAITING

Okay, can I just say yesterday was a lot of fun on the blogging world. Thanks to Linda at 2nd Cup of Coffee http://2nd-cup-of-coffee.blogspot.com/ I didn't get a thing done at home! As you can see I have laundry up to my elbows. Really, Linda thanks for creating such a great thing for us bloggers to do. It was so much fun getting to see all the videos and meeting some 'interesting bloggers (hay, there was even a monkey that I met). Now as for today, I should be able to get to that load of laundry, but it will be after I reply to all the nice comments that were made about my slide show.
