There is no better place to lull the day away, then to spend time with an old friend sitting on the front porch enjoying memories, thoughts and ponderings. I pray that as you peek through my Picket Fence that you will be blessed and may you always find peace from God. This blog is dedicated to my Children and Grandchildren, I pray that the memories and the ponderings I post here will inspire and encourage you and even make you laugh a little.

Mic Mic Has Someone To Talk To
While driving home with my Granddaughter Macy the other day, we went past the cemetery where my Mom 'Mic Mic' was layed to rest and there was a funeral going on right near Mom's grave. Macy noticed this as we were going by and said "Look Grammy, those people are praying for Mic Mic. I said 'Yes they are, that is really nice' and she said 'Well I am glad that Mic Mic has someone to talk to!' And because we had already discussed with Macy the hows and where's of heaven, she said 'I am not ready to go to heaven yet and you are not ready to go the heaven yet, right?' I reassured her that I was not ready yet. She made me laugh. My Grandchildren do that a lot lately, they make me laugh and they make me smile. The things that they say and the things that they remember and stick inside their little minds, is so amazing. She found a way to make a somber day going by Mom's graveside, one of joy and laughter.
