LEGACY

"I want to leave a legacy, How will they remember me? Did I choose to love? Did I point to you enough? To make a mark on things I want to leave an offering A child of mercy and grace Who blessed your name unapologetically And leave that kind of legacy. (nichole nordeman-lyrics)

I just added this song to my music playlist. I have always loved it and thought it represents a lot of who I am and who I want to be. I don't want to be just remembered as someone who was a good Wife, Mother, Grammy, Daughter, Sister and Friend. Sure, I love all of these roles and count myself blessed to be in them. But because God put me in these roles, I owe it to everyone of them to leave a Godly legacy. As one of my favorite old songs says "It Is Well With My Soul", that is what is important, it's not material things that make me happy, it is having that assurance that God is pleased with me. I want my legacy to show that I shared God's love with everyone and that I helped to point the way to him. I want to be known as someone who was not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

"Not well-traveled, not well-read Not well-to-do, or well-bred. Just want to hear instead, Well done, good and faithful one" (nichole nordeman-lyrics)
